Deborah L. Riner, who holds a PhD from Princeton University, was the Chief Economist of American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico. from 1990 to 2015. Prior to joining the Chamber, Dr. Riner was a Vice President of Bankers Trust Company of New York where she was engaged in Corporate Finance.
Dr. Riner has written extensively on the Mexican economy, speaks regularly to business and professional groups in Mexico and the U.S. as well to the press and government officials in both countries.
The recipient of fellowships from the Brookings Institution, the Organization of American States, the Social Science Research Council, the Institute for the Study of World Politics, and Princeton University, among others, she has been a Guest Scholar at the Overseas Development Council, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Universidad Católica de Chile and Centro de Estudios del Desarrollo de Estado y Sociedad in Buenos Aires.
Presently, she is in charge of the Mexico analysis for Action Economics!, an on-line service analyzing financial markets and the major world economies.
Deborah L. Riner, quien cuenta con un doctorado de la Universidad de Princeton, fue Economista en Jefe de American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico entre 1990 y 2015. Antes de formar parte de la Cámara, la Dra. Riner fue Vicepresidente de Bankers Trust Company de Nueva York viendo Finanzas Corporativas.
Ha escrito y habla frecuentemente sobre la economía mexicana empresarios y funcionarios publicos en México y EE.UU. ademas de ser citado frecuentamente por la prensa.
Ha recibido becas por parte del Instituto Brookings, la Organización de Estados Americanos, el Consejo de Investigación de Ciencias Sociales, el Instituto para el Estudio de la Politica Mundial, y la Universidad de Princeton, entre otros. Ha sido Investigadora Invitada del Overseas Development Council, del Royal Institute of International Affairs, de la Universidad Católica de Chile y del Centro de Estudios de Desarrollo de Estado y Sociedad en Buenos Aires.
